Multi Axis Sensing

A single Central Tracking Unit (CTU) chip can work with multiple sensors, each built from conventional low-cost PCB technology.

Used with a simple target, this delivers a particularly cost effective solution for machines that require multi-axis systems.

Centralising the position processing in a CTU chip also means that there is a single source of position feedback for the host, rather than the network of connections required for a traditional multi-axis system.

The number of sensors supported by a CTU chip depends on the CTU and sensor type.  For example, the CAM204 CTU chip supports 4 Type 1 sensors.  This number may be extended further with additional multiplexing circuitry.  Please contact CambridgeIC for details.

CambridgeIC

Founded in 2007, CambridgeIC has developed single chip processors and a set of standard sensor designs and integration tools. These help customers embed resonant inductive sensing inside their products, by drawing on modular and well proven components.
